The day starts at the Kintamani viewpoint, one of Bali's most famous vantage points, with a panorama over the active Mount Batur and its crater lake - especially striking early in the morning, when mist still hangs over the water. After breakfast with a volcano view, the route stops at a coffee plantation, home to Bali's famous luwak coffee, and then descends into a hidden canyon: a narrow gorge with smooth rock walls carved by the river over thousands of years, where you can wade through shallow water and spot small waterfalls. You travel with just your own group, stop for photos whenever you like, and spend as long as you want at each place.
